Kere Buchanan Brief Bio.

 

 

Coming from a musical family, & originally from New Zealand, Kere moved to Australia in 1988 & in that time Kere has performed & or recorded with the likes of Tina Arena, (3 ‘Live’ albums & 2 DVD’s) Kasey Chambers, Marcia Hines, Rick Price, Margaret Urlich, Wendy Matthews, Delta Goodrem, Danielle Spencer, Adam Harvey, Felicity Urquhart,  & Julie Anthony + many more sessions & jingles.

 

I have also appeared on many TV shows as a musician in the band like Australian Idol/Popstars/In Siberia Tonight/Hey Hey/The Way We Were + many more.

 

Kere has also been MD supervisor for Marcia Hines for the last 10 years, & has two of his own groups that perform regularly around Sydney/Wollongong/ Hunter Valley & Newcastle, the Bodacious Cowboys, (the music of Steely Dan) & Back On The Block, (the music of Quincy Jones/Michael Jackson).

 

Kere recently completed his second solo album called ‘Goodbye Yesterday’ in the Jazz/Pop/RnB genre featuring an array of talent/musicians such Bill Champlin, (ex Chicago), Robbie Buchanan, (Whitney Houston/George Benson), Louie Shelton, (Seals & Crofts/Boz Scaggs/Lionel Richie) + many Australasian musicians like Jim Kelly/Leon Gaer/Chris Kamzelas/Geoff Robertson/Glenn Bidmead/Michelle Martinez to name a few.

Kere Buchanan is best known as a drummer’s drummer having played with a who’s who of great Australian artists including Tina Arena and Marcia Hines. Kere is also widely acknowledged as the leader of groups such as The Bodacious Cowboys and Kerosene. Four year ago, Kere released his first album under his name, "Starting Over" which received acclaim from critics across the globe.

Early February, 2014, Kere Buchanan returns with a new album called "Goodbye Yesterday" featuring guest vocalists Gary Pinto, Michelle Martinez, Glenn Bidmead, Karen O'Shea, Bill Champlin, Geoff Robertson, Barry Leef, Jerson Trinidad, Jade Macrae and Kere himself for the song "Hard Goodbye".
