L.Young Bio :

 

Born and raised in Louisville, KY was groomed for music in the church; by the age of 5yrs old was already singing in the adult choir.  L. Young submerged himself in the arts by acting and singing, at the age of thirteen he established himself as an actor and began working professionally in regional theaters across the Tri-­‐State area such as the world renowned “Actor’s Theater of Louisville.” While attending the prestigious “Youth Performing Arts High School” in Louisville, he had already performed abroad in Brussels, Belgium, London, Bahamas as well as the continental U.S as a performer.

 

L. Young has established himself as an artist, writer, and performer. He has been credited for writing, music, and production for several artists, as well as platinum selling soundtracks. “My music is the bridge to all my dreams, and the starting point for my main purpose on this planet. Through music I'm learning who I actually am as a person,” says L.Young.  Writing credits include the top 5 single and title track off Jessy J’s #1 Billboard debut Album “Hot Sauce.” Keke Wyatt’s projects, “Who Knew” and “Unbelievable.” L.Young also worked on the production of B2k’s “Babygirl” off of “The Barbershop Soundtrack.”

 

“Iwant to make people FEEL something when listening to my music. I want to take the listener on an emotional journey through my sound, and storytelling,” said Young. L. Young just recently released his 4th album entitled “ReVerb” featuring his Billboard Urban AC top 20 single 'Love Is A Verb.'

 

L Young is a talent that has crossed over and not only working on studio music projects, he is also credited for music in film and network TV to include: BET's The Game, ABC's According To Jim, 20/20, One Life To Live, VH1's Basketball Wives, USA  Network's Burn Notice, The movies Don Jon. Booty Call, and The Long Kiss Goodnight among others.

L. has graced the stage with such artists as Stevie Wonder, Seal, David Foster, BabyFace, Eric Benet, Aaron Neville, Lalah Hathaway, Toni Tony Tone', Mint Condition, En Vogue, Patti LaBelle, Toni Braxton, Gladys Knight, Keith Sweat, and Teena Marie just to name a few.

Many may know L.Young from his many viral videos on Youtube and
Facebook, including the #1 pop trending ABC's Good Morning America
feature of his a cappella rendition of the 2015 Bruno Mars hit Uptown Funk.
But L. Young has also released five full length studio albums to date,
2004's “'They Just Don't Know”, 2008's “The 12th Letter”, 2013's “ReVerb”,
2015’s "4Ever Young" and his latest, “Wrinkles In Time” in 2018.

The title track "Love Is A Verb" from the album Reverb garnered L. Young his first radio hit and top #20 Billboard magazine Urban A/C chart hit.
